Landgasthof Schuetzen in Tengen

Rooms are simple but absolutely clean. Shower with a lot of pressure. Good mattress. The host was very friendly, especially to the children. Everything is absolutely uncomplicated. We were positively surprised by the very good and rich breakfast.

I cannot agree with the many negative reviews at all. It looks more like some people can't behave ... The customer service and the communication with the operators was absolutely amazing! Especially in the current difficult situation with Corona, the great hospitality and openness were particularly noticeable. It was not clear 24 hours before the arrival whether we would be able to arrive at all, but the flexibility, goodwill and open communication on the phone made it possible in the end. It was just as friendly on site. I've only rarely been able to experience this! The wifi is not great in the area, but you can expect that when you drive to small towns in the mountains. Since you're usually out and about during the day anyway, that's not a problem. Rooms were clean, beds were very comfortable, everything was great.

If so, please represent it correctly! They were children, 2.5 years and 7 months. They seriously demand that they sleep separately from their parents in a different room! That's rude!!

Very nice host, room clean and tidy, TV unfortunately a bit small, but that doesn't really matter in terms of the rating. Because of Corona we unfortunately could not book breakfast and therefore could not rate it.

Top recommendation, everything was clean. Pleasant atmosphere, calm !!!

I was not yet a guest myself and wanted to give my mom a birthday stay there. I cannot be neutral and free from prejudices regarding various ratings on the hotel portals, especially since the person concerned has not taken a position there. There would be no bad surprise on a special day.

Join the negative speakers. As a business traveler you do not need any hope for arrival and departure times. Unfriendly, uncompromising and completely resistant - and an impudent operator. As we have 50 meters further as the crow flies, in the "deep cellar" a very different "hospitality" experienced. The shooter in Tengen is therefore not recommended and taboo in the future.

Ideal place for an overnight stay. Quiet town. Incredibly clean rooms, nice staff.

Incredibly awful man. We had done a double booking. Our mistake. The night we had not stayed at Landgasthof Schutzen we also had to pay. We have done without being too difficult about it .. € 164, - pay for 1 night, the man kept angry. Totally incomprehensible why. We only asked why he could not have called us. "Do I have to call a thousand guests a year?" was his response. He runs away angry. No communication possible. We slept in a back room adjacent to a backyard, dated. Fruhstuck was ok. Certainly not a hospitable 'Gasthof'. We will NEVER come here again. What a money devil!

Due to the good price despite the lake night festival in Constance, we didn't expect much and were pleasantly surprised. Our room was sparkling clean, we had a good and quiet night and the breakfast in the morning was simple, but very tasty and there was something for everyone. It's quick to get to Lake Constance by car and the Rhine Falls are also quick. The host was very nice. We would love to come back!

Nice inn for non-demanding travelers 😀

Host: extremely open-minded, willing to talk and helpful. Has excellent geographical knowledge - especially helpful for motorcyclists. room - Quiet in terms of traffic: well insulated, so hardly audible despite the window facing the street. - Clairaudience: if someone was in the bathroom in the room next door, the pipes or whatever made very strange and above all loud noises. - Darkening: external blinds available. - Cleanliness: perfect. bath - Equipment: classic standard equipment (including hair dryer). - Hygiene: perfect. Breakfast: see picture for scope. Was delicious. Nothing to complain about. Network reception: with Telekom 4G without any problems. WiFi: available and worked perfectly. TV: available. It is quite small, but it is sufficient for the distance to the head end of the bed. Price: € 60 including breakfast for a single room. Conclusion: gladly again anytime. I felt good all around. If you only want to stay one night without any further claims, you may find the € 60 to be a very high price, but these are definitely justified for longer stays.

A very friendly and family-run house. The decor of the rooms is simple, but very clean. The breakfast is plentiful and varied. Everyone should find something here. Also for special requests you always had an open ear. I can recommend it with a clear conscience.

Just to get to know the owner from Hamburg in Hegau is worth a trip to Tengen. Breakfast top. The hotel unfortunately not more than 2 stars. Simply clean with no frills and good. No luxury, kitchen and Gastro only rudimentary. If you just love is in good hands here. In international comparison unfortunately not even standard. Rather hostel. But I think it's great.

Best place I have ever been to. Nice and kind service and the food was brilliant

Rooms are okay, prices are very cheap! As you can safely see beyond the 70s equipment. And that you flood the entire bathroom while showering. ;-) The restaurant was open only sporadically, were once a meal here. Quality was very good and the portions huge.

Felt very welcome. An oasis of peace and a super nice host and hostess 👍 and also delicious food for little money.
